Ever since C.C Sabathia and Ben Sheets ended their tenure in Milwaukee, the Crew has been criticized as having one of the worst starting rotations in the game. And that showed true last season as the Brewers faced major pitching woes from Opening Day on. But with this seasons new aquisitions of former Philadelphia Philles star pitcher Randy Wolf (11-7, 3.23 ERA), and former Brewer Doug Davis (9-14, 4.12 ERA), the Brewers will look to turn it all around and actually compete for the National League Central title.
The two newcombers will join the starting rotation with the young flamethrower from Michoacan, Mexico, Yovani Gallardo. Gallardo is entering his fourth season as a member of the club, and in his career he has posted a 22-17 record and a 3.57 ERA with opposing batters hitting only .231 against him. Scouts say Gallardo even has the potential to be a Cy Young candidate in the very near future with his incredible curveball and his ability to rack up K's.
Manny Parra, the California prospect who struggled mightily last season with a 6.36 ERA, and .306 BAA. And Jeff Suppan who has also struggled ever since he joined the Crew back in 2007.
The only question on my mind is, is this the rotation that will take the Brewers back to the playoffs in 2010? As I have said before, the Brewers are going to score a lot of runs, the qustion is how many can they control from the other side?
I guess we'll have to wait and see.

It's all about staying healthy. As long as they are healthy the Brewers could make a seriously impact not only on the central but all of baseball

The Brewers rotation could be good if Parra can stay consistent. I stoll think they'll finish third, behind the Cardinals, and Pirates.
