One big question entering Reds camp is this. Is Aroldis Chapman ready for the big leagues.?He will head into Spring Training hopeful for the #5 spot in the rotation, competing with Justin Lehr, Travis Wood, and Matt Maloney. Micah Owings will also being battling it out. Chapman defected from Cuba in the Spring of 08, and was signed by the Reds on January 10th, 2010. He is due to make 30 million $ over a 6 year period. Chapman has a fastball that can reach 102 MPH, but has has some control problems as well. The 22 year old Cuban is 6'4 and a lefty. He has a decent slider and OK change up. We'll see if this is enough to make the Opening Day roster.

Is there any other battles for spots that will be going on aside from left field and the starting rotation? ----- COMMENT: AUTHOR:Blogger Reds03 DATE:2/09/2010 02:13:00 PM Mr. Baseball, I found a Pirate blogger ----- --------
